German flight from Oman makes emergency landing in Kuwait

A Eurowings flight bound to Germany from Oman made an emergency landing in Kuwait on Sunday over a bomb threat, said a report.

The carrier was flying 299 passengers from Salalah to Cologne, when the plane captain's request for an emergency landing in Kuwait, reported state-run news agency Kuna.

The plane was diverted 'for security reasons and in accordance with required safety regulations.'

All passengers on board were evacuated following the incident and a thorough investigation was conducted.

No explosives were found on the plane, confirming it clear and safe, said Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) spokesman Mansour Al-Hashemi.
