Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost airline, is celebrating one year of operations from its dedicated Terminal 5 (T5) at the Kuwait International Airport.

The airline marked the milestone in a closed event attended by officials from Kuwait’s Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Interior, Kuwait Customs, KAFCO, National Aviation Services (NAS), Kuwait Airways and other local service providers and partners.

Speaking about the event, Jazeera Airways chairman, Marwan Boodai, said: “In May last year, the inauguration of T5 emerged as a significant game-changer for our operations and customer experience. T5 enabled us to serve our growing number of passengers, which saw a record growth of 46.4 per cent in 2018 as our airline continued to expand its operations in the Middle East, Europe and Indian Subcontinent.

“I take this opportunity to thank Kuwait’s DGCA and Ministry of Interior for their valuable support in turning T5 into a reality and supporting the advancement of the aviation industry in Kuwait to better serve travellers. I also thank our partners and service providers, Kuwait’s Customs, KAFCO, NAS and Kuwait Airways the strong partnership we’ve built together over the past 14 years,” Boodai added.

Today, T5 provides passengers with the ease and comfort of travelling with 11 check-in counters, six self-check-in kiosks, dedicated passport and security control procedures, duty free shops and restaurants, the Pearl Lounge, as well as free wi-fi internet service available for passengers when boarding at the T5 gates. T5 also has a dedicated number (176) and Help Team on-ground to respond to passengers’ queries and guide them through the Terminal. - TradeArabia News Service
